The Yale International Singers is a 25-member group comprised mainly of graduate students of Yale University and open to all members of the New Haven community. Sebastián conducted them between 1999 and 2005. The YIS usually presents two concerts a year, the second of which includes vocal instrumental music. In recent seasons they performed pieces by Antonio Caldara, W.A. Mozart, Joseph Haydn, a cappella motets by Francis Poulenc, Latin American popular music, José Maurício Nunes Garcia's Requiem Mass, music from the Bolivian Jesuit Missions and madrigals by Sigismondo D'India.
